Two different cats become Tigerstar. The first is Tigerclaw, the original-arc antagonist. The later Tigerstar is Tigerheart, his grandson through Tawnypelt, not Bramblestar's son.

Evidence and limits
The opening identity notes avoid death-scene details. Later names, family relationships and recommended side-book placement may still reveal developments from later books.
Names and role
| Field | Book context |
|---|---|
| Names | First: Tigerkit > Tigerpaw > Tigerclaw > Tigerstar |
| Clan | First Tigerstar: ThunderClan, then ShadowClan |
| Role | First-arc antagonist and later ShadowClan leader |
Story and relationships
The first Tigerstar's official biography describes an ambitious ThunderClan warrior whose plans threaten the Clans. The later Tigerstar has his own biography, mate and generation; sharing a leader name does not make the two cats interchangeable.
The later Tigerstar is Tawnypelt's son; her mate is Rowanclaw. Tigerheart's official profile explicitly identifies him as the first Tigerstar's grandson. Brambleclaw is a different relative, not Tigerheart's father.
Where to read
For Tigerclaw, start with The Prophecies Begin. For Tigerheart, follow the later arcs and leave Tigerheart's Shadow until its recommended point between Darkest Night and River of Fire.
Book character or game appearance?
A book biography is not evidence of a specific game encounter. The official RPG announcement names Brightheart, Tawnypelt, Tallstar and Ivypool as examples, while Steam advertises nine book cats without listing all nine. This page does not confirm an NPC or recruitment role for this character.
A player-made Roblox morph can represent a favourite cat without being an official story NPC.
Questions people ask
Is Tigerheart the same cat as the original Tigerstar?
No. Tigerheart is the original Tigerstar's grandson and later receives the same leader name.
Does this page reveal every death and family secret?
No. It is a selective identity and reading guide, not a complete plot or death catalogue.
